Yard Treatment
Our yard treatments include two key chemicals.
- Growth Regulator - This chemical sterilizes any breeding ground it touches. Any mosquito that visits the breeding ground becomes sterilized (to spread to other breeding grounds) and any egg that is in this breeding ground will never become an adult. This chemical can take over a week to see effectiveness because it prevents further adults from hatching but does not kill active adults.
- Kill on Contact - We use a variety of different chemicals for this based on the temperature outside and in a rotation to prevent chemical resistences due to overuse of a chemical. The purpose of this chemical is to kill any mosquito that comes in contact with the surface. This provides immediate results and is what makes the yard treatment so effective because it kills active adult mosquitoes. Once the chemical dries (within 30 minutse of treatment) it is safe for humans to come in contact.
