What a Yard Treatment Does

How Our Yard Treatment Works
Our treatments use two complementary products, applied only where the labels allow:
- Insect growth regulator (IGR): When the selected product is labeled for the site, it disrupts mosquito development and reproduction in treated breeding areas. Results are gradual because this targets the mosquito life cycle rather than killing adults on contact — it keeps larvae from becoming biting adults.
- Adult mosquito treatment: We select and rotate labeled products based on site conditions and treatment goals. These applications target the adult mosquitoes resting in vegetation, mulch, and other shaded areas around your yard.
Rotating products matters. Leaning on a single active ingredient season after season is how local mosquito populations build resistance, so we vary what we use to keep treatments effective over time.
